Superior Haiku by Jeffrey Swainhart

Jeffrey posted some great haiku on the MN DRS yahoo group.

I am reposting them here with his permission. Enjoy!

Superior Haiku
by Jeffrey Swainhart

Rocks and many roots

Visions both real and unreal

Finish in the dark

*

Are we getting close?

There’s another hill to climb

Racing the cut offs

*

Food, water, Advils

Finally a chair, must sit

Volunteers be blessed

*

We start in the dark

The trail goes fifty-two miles

At the end we rest

Thought I would look through some blogs this morning and forgot about Jeffrey's Haiku.

What makes it really funny is to picture him saying it with his dry sense of humor and his humble personality.
